    In Kenya, 1 in 4 people experience a mental health issue each year, and at YIDP, we’ve made it our mission to support those in need. Across all our departments, we are committed to raising awareness about mental health and encouraging individuals to seek help when necessary. At YIDP, we prioritize listening and tailoring our support to meet each person’s unique needs and goals. Whether it’s providing a distraction, offering a listening ear, or boosting self-esteem, our weekly sessions are designed to help people feel better.

  • What We Do

    It’s well-established that physical activity releases brain chemicals that improve mood. Beyond physical fitness, engaging in sports also enhances mental well-being. We offer a variety of physical activity sessions where participants can socialize and stay active, which helps create a supportive environment where they feel more comfortable expressing their emotions. Understanding that not everyone is able to participate in strenuous activities, we also provide alternative sessions, such as after school programme, offering a space for connection and conversation.
